Lo zolfo ancora al centro della salute (se qualcosa non va).

Cari amici ed amiche, aspetto qualche giorno per non pentirmi di scrivere qualcosa che magari poi non si è rivelato utile. Nel frattempo, torno a parlarvi dell’importanza dello zolfo (nella forma corretta, però) per la nostra salute : A critical factor to maintaining a healthy gut is having healthy cells that process oxygen, their most basic need.

Diagnosed with CFS/FM nearly 15 years ago, although I have had it considerably longer. First started taking Nystatin powder in 1992. Was on it for 1 1/2 years. Couldn’t afford it any longer. It helped, but only in lessening the symptoms, and did not do much for ‘curing’ the condition. Of course, I was also severely ill, so my immune system was ‘hinky’ to say the least. In no time at all, the candidiasis was as bad as when I first started treatment.
About 6 months later, I heard about a program with Pfizer: people with economic hardship qualified for free medicine. (Those people may have saved my life!) My doctor put me on daily Diflucan (200mg) for 6 months. At 5 months, evaluated me and put me on another 6 months. I saw great improvement during that year, but because my immune system was only just starting to recover, he put me on another 6 months at 150/day. The next 6 months package was 100mg every other day, tapering off to 100 once a week, to 200mg once a month. I talking over three years on Diflucan!
My woosy immune system still couldn’t keep candidiasis totally controlled on its own, but my doctor said ‘enough’ on the Diflucan. Only extreme emergencies. However, I was greatly improved with all my CFS/FM symptoms (was able to get out of bed and have conversations!), but over time, the candidiasis slowly, but consistently worsened.

About two years ago, I had a 5 month stretch of herpes cold sore/fever blister breakouts (always worse with candida flares) but this time just as one spot on my lip would begin to heal, another would start. (still have the scars). Had been researching MSM, and my brother bought me some. I started conservatively, and gradually increased and after a week, the cold sores began to fade, with no new ones starting. After 7 weeks taking it, I had my first menses in two years WITHOUT a candida flare. And I just continued to get better. Big FACT: couldn’t have managed to log on and type a post three years ago – no functioning brain cells. And I am usually rather coherent these days. Consistently.

Have only had a return of candida and herpes flare twice since I began MSM, and both time is when I stopped taking it. The first time I stopped I had run out, and in three weeks I had a flare. Began MSM again, and BOTH were gone in a couple days. The second time I had a flare was again because I had run out (no money) took nearly 5 weeks that time before both flared. At the first herpe tingle and swelling, I ran out and got some. Took with lycine, and in only a couple of hours, the cold sore was COMPLETELY gone! (Anyone who deals with fever blisters will know that is amazing) The next day, my mind was clear and the candida was subdued.

So I probably sound like an advertisement, too. MSM is probably the most important supplement I take. How much a person takes depends upon the person. It is very important for anyone who self-regulates dosages to be very informed about the product, the symptoms which is your body communicating important info to you, and what the possible ramifications are. Please be informed, and take good care of yourself. Reports find MSM to be very safe, but don’t take my word on it, find out the facts for yourself.
